Ease Your Long-Haul Fears with Solidea
We all want to see the world, and that involves long-haul flights, especially when you live in Australia! Flying isn’t without its risks, however, many travellers may worry about the link between long flights and DVT, the condition that causes blood clots in the legs.
Keeping active on a long flight is important to guard against the risk of DVT, so it’s advisable to get up and walk around as often as you can. In addition, some airlines now offer advice on exercises you can do in your seat, these involve circling the feet and stretching the lower leg muscles to boost circulation and reduce the risk of clots. Drinking plenty of water and avoiding alcohol and sleeping pills are also measures that could help minimise the risk.
Even if you’re not worried about DVT, the above advice makes for a more comfortable journey. We were thrilled to be included in an article on the topic by Bupa Travel Insurance, ‘Survive a Long Flight with These Top Travel Accessories’

Interesting article published in the in the Melbourne Herald Sun. It was titled “Time Bomb in your Pocket” and was about a report that states consumers are at risk from garments that are laden with toxic chemicals. Consumer watch dog Choice says inadequate regulations of chemicals in imported textiles can lead to severe allergic re-actions, including burning skin and eczema.

Something you should think about when making a purchase, especially with your pregnancy compression garments, is where are the garments manufactured? Are you sure they are free from chemicals?
